Change Management
Guiding people and systems through change
I can support you with:
Change strategy and planning
Stakeholder engagement and communication
Leadership coaching during transformation
Resistance and conflict navigation
Change tools, frameworks, and sustainment planning
Change can be challenging — not just technically, but culturally, emotionally, and operationally. I specialise in leading change programmes that are practical, people-centred, and grounded in delivery.
Whether it’s a restructure, process shift, or large-scale transformation, I work closely with leaders, teams, and stakeholders to build trust, reduce resistance, and move from strategy to sustained success.
My work spans both public and private sectors, including complex organisational environments with multiple decision-makers, layered governance, and sensitive employee impacts.
CASE STUDY
Transforming hospital food services with collaboration at the centre
A major health sector transformation project was launched to overhaul how hospital food was sourced, prepared, and served across New Zealand’s public hospitals. With over 600 staff impacted across 81 sites, the project needed a people-centred, operationally sound approach that could navigate complex and sensitive environments while maintaining continuity of care.
I led the change management strategy, working across a wide range of stakeholders including healthcare executives, site managers, medical staff, HR, unions, government agencies, suppliers, and contractors. My focus was on aligning operational goals with the human impacts of the change. I facilitated inclusive conversations, introduced cultural education sessions, and embedded a coaching culture throughout the transition. I applied Prosci methodology and re-engineered an international training programme to fit our local context, saving significant consultancy costs while building internal capability. I also developed and led training that supported ongoing engagement with frontline and senior leaders alike.
The result was the successful rollout of New Zealand’s first national hospital food ordering system, implemented across multiple District Health Boards. Staff capability improved, resistance to change reduced, and adoption occurred smoothly across all sites. The project was recognised for delivering meaningful cost savings, improved stakeholder satisfaction, and minimal disruption to patient care — all while building a more sustainable, people-focused delivery model for the future.
